Guitar Humidifier

A guitar humidifier can save you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on your acoustic guitar. Here's Part II of our video that may save you thousands of dollars in repair bills or replaced instruments.

Failure to use one of these simple little devices, can cause an delicate acoustic guitar to dry out and actually shrink. Disaster follows, as bridges comes tearing off, top or back boards come unglued or instruments split right down the middle like a pear!

These scenarios have all been witnessed by us and it really does happen. The first signs to look for are small hairline cracks under the bridge (where the bridge meets the faceplate) and small cracks around any of the seams of the instrument.

Ever noticed how when you walk into a well-established music store, all the acoustic guitars are in a separate room? That's because they keep the guitars humidified so that they don't dry out.

Now regular folks can't expect to build special rooms to house their acoustic guitars, although I have known at least one student of mine with very high-priced guitars who has just such a room in his house.

The next best thing is to get a Humicase Dreadnought Guitar Humidifier Case, which is the most highly recommended--and low-cost--way to protect your acoustic guitar investment.

For the rest of us, we have the Planet Waves Large Instrument Humidifier.
