Fender Telecoustic Guitar

The Fender Telecoustic guitar breaks the mold of standard acoustic and electric guitar styles and blends them into what really is a new kind of 6-stringed instrument.

The Fender Telecaster influence is apparent to anyone familiar with that signature "Tele" body shape, which has been found in the hands of Keith Richards, Albert Collins, and Danny Gatton to name a few.

Fender takes the concept a bit further by introducing the hollow acoustic guitar body--complete with a space-aged composite back--and bolting a genuine Telecaster electric guitar neck to it.

Combine that with top-rate pickups and a 4-band EQ with volume. The only thing our model lacked was an onboard tuner, which in our opinion should be standard equipment on all guitars!

Expect to pay around $175-$200 for this model used, if you can find them. Newer models have a lipstick chrome neck pickup for a true electric guitar sound. These models go for more, so make sure you save your pennies for the new ones.

Also note that there is a "Squier" version of this guitar, while the one featured here is a genuine Fender.

Further, Fender makes a Squier version of the Stratocaster like this, it's called the Stratacoustic and the best place to find it right now is on Amazon.com.
